Description

Czapek has unveiled a new iteration of its Quai des Bergues model featuring a 40.5mm steel case and a novel hand-guilloché pattern on the dial, introduced as the “Double Soleil”. This new size is presented as an ideal intermediate, or ‘Goldilocks’ size, offering adaptability, elegance, and a comfortable presence on various wrist sizes. The design tweaks include refined case-side recesses and subtly altered lugs to facilitate a better fit.

CEO Xavier de Roquemaurel mentions that the new design has been influenced by the biomechanical style of artist H.R. Giger, achieving an organic and fluid aesthetic. The “Double Soleil” guilloché pattern is inspired by the parhelion phenomenon, giving the dial a radiant appearance that plays intriguing visual tricks, available in Deep Blue or Tuxedo Black. The watch features a manually wound movement with a 7-day power reserve, with open-worked bridges to accentuate the craftsmanship, embodying the essence of haute horlogerie.
