Description
Andreas Strehler, a renowned independent watchmaker, has launched a new brand named after himself, aimed at sharing his high-end watchmaking artistry more broadly. The inaugural model, Sirna, exemplifies Strehler’s commitment to technical mastery and craftsmanship, presented in a straightforward three-hand watch designed for everyday elegance. This watch, handcrafted in Strehler’s Sirnach-based workshop, is not just a display of aesthetic simplicity but also a marvel of technical complexity, including the in-house developed SA-30 movement.
The Sirna is distinguished by its robust engineering, large free-sprung balance wheel, and a power reserve of 60 hours. The craftsmanship extends to the titanium dial, crafted in collaboration with designer Eric Giroud, featuring hand-polishing and laser engraving, and a blue dial color that remains vibrant over time. The watch’s design, with its 40 mm diameter polished steel case and ergonomic lugs, is quintessentially “Strehler,” offering comfort and a modern touch. It includes a beige calfskin strap, a steel pin buckle, and is presented in a beechwood box with a leather travel pouch. Production is artisanal, capping at 30 to 50 pieces annually.
