Description

Raketa has just released an updated version of its classic Copernicus model, first introduced in 1965. The watch is a tribute to Nicolaus Copernicus, the renowned astronomer who changed the course of science in the 16th century by proving that the Earth orbits the Sun, not the other way around.

In this new version, Raketa has designed the dial and hands to resemble planets revolving around the Sun, offering a unique and artistic interpretation of the Cosmos. The dial is made of aventurine, a stone that sparkles like a starry night sky, with the Sun represented by a circle of agate stone at the center.

This “Copernicus” 0307 recalls the ancient way of telling time by observing the movement of celestial bodies. To read the time, you’ll follow the planet-shaped hands as they move around the Sun and relate to one another. The watch is completed with a Milanese mesh bracelet, adding a touch of elegance to its design.

On the back, you’ll find the beautiful automatic movement, fully manufactured by the Raketa Watch Factory in Saint Petersburg, visible through the transparent case back.
