Description

Nivada Grenchen’s Chronosport 38mm makes a sensational debut, drawing inspiration from a previously unreleased vintage chronograph prototype from the 1970s. This classic timepiece has been refreshed for the modern man, combining the excellence of Swiss watchmaking with a sleek and sophisticated design.

Since 1926, Nivada Grenchen has been synonymous with quality. In 2018, Guillaume Laidet aimed to revive the brand’s iconic models for a broader audience. The discovery of the Chronosport prototype, with only about 20 ever made and never commercialized, sparked huge demand on social media for a reissue.

The new Chronosport is celebrated for its unique dial, featuring a textured matte black background, two embossed sub-dials in taupe with a hint of khaki, and a tachymeter scale. It also features either white or yellow Super-LumiNova® indices and hands, a bold white logo, and Art Deco typography, all designed by renowned dial maker Jean Singer.

The Chronosport is powered by the automatic Valjoux-7750-ETA movement, with a 42-hour power reserve and multiple functions. Its 38mm stainless steel case, domed sapphire crystal, and a water resistance up to 200 meters. Additionally, it features a fluted unidirectional rotating aluminum bezel and offers 10 strap options for customization.
