Description
This 2023 update of the Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Ultra Thin Power Reserve watch introduces a blend of sophisticated design and advanced technical features. At the heart of the watch is the new-generation Jaeger-LeCoultre Calibre 938, which boasts a significant enhancement in power reserve, now lasting up to 70 hours. This improvement is achieved without increasing the size of the calibre, thanks to a redesigned mainspring barrel, the use of silicon in key components to reduce friction, and various other modifications that enhance reliability.
The power reserve function, a distinctive feature pioneered by Jaeger-LeCoultre in 1948, is skillfully showcased along with the date and small seconds indicators, testifying to the complexity of the calibre and the craftsmanship of Jaeger-LeCoultre’s watchmakers. In terms of design, while the watch retains its classic 39mm diameter and 8.95mm thickness, it features a subtly modernized case with revised proportions and slimmer lugs for better wrist comfort. The dial has also been refined for greater legibility and aesthetic appeal. It features a gradient midnight blue sunray pattern, larger sub-dials, elongated hour markers, and Dauphine hands with distinct polished and satin finishes. These elements, along with the golden dots marking the minutes track, create a striking contrast with the sunray dial and match the color of the pink gold case, ensuring aesthetic harmony.
Completing the design, the Master Ultra Thin Power Reserve is presented on a blue alligator strap, which can be easily interchanged.
