Description

Jaeger-LeCoultre’s latest masterpiece, the Duometre Chronograph Moon, unveiled at Watches and Wonders 2024, combines precision chronograph functionality with a celestial complication. This timepiece features the innovative Duometre mechanism, which employs two barrels and independent gear trains to ensure accurate timekeeping even when complications are engaged. Calibre 391 powers this marvel, integrating a mono-pusher chronograph, moon phase, night-day display, and a flying second indicator.

Visually captivating, the watch features an open-worked dial revealing the intricate mechanics, complemented by traditional Haute Horlogerie finishes. Its layout is intuitive, with a moon phase integrated into the chronograph sub-dial and a night-day display in the time sub-dial. The seconde foudroyante is showcased at 6 o’clock, flanked by open-worked areas.

Jaeger-LeCoultre introduces a new case design inspired by 19th-century savonette pocket watches, blending contemporary elegance with tactile appeal. The 42.5mm case comprises 34 parts, featuring a convex crystal, rounded bezel, and redesigned crown for enhanced handling. Multiple finishing techniques create a mesmerizing interplay of light.

The Duometre Chronograph Moon is available in either rose gold with a silver colored dial or platinum with a copper color dial. Both are examples of Jaeger-LeCoultre’s dedication to blending beauty, technical mastery, and innovation, ensuring precision remains at the forefront of watchmaking excellence.
