Description

Jacob & Co. unveils a groundbreaking reinterpretation of the régulateur with their signature innovation, the Astronomia Régulateur. The 43-mm rose gold and sapphire timepiece features a floating, 3D movement that completes a full rotation in 60 seconds, delivering a mesmerizing effect. The vertical, rotating mechanism, a world-first, showcases a seconds dial spinning counter-clockwise within the minute. Its flying tourbillon, operating on two axes in one minute, embodies precision engineering. The beautifully crafted watch has a separate display for hours, minutes, and seconds, highlighted by classic fonts and golden hands against domed, translucent blue sub-dials. With its fusion of classic complications and the iconic Astronomia architecture, Jacob & Co. redefines the régulateur, exemplifying horological excellence with the mantra, “Inspired by the impossible.”

Powered by caliber JCAM56, Jacob & Co.’s slimmest Astronomia-type movement to date is made up of 552 components. The rose gold case, with a thickness of 18 mm, elegantly frames large sapphire panes, offering a captivating view of the intricate movement. Inspired by historical régulateurs, this reinvention elevates tradition into a new dimension with its three-dimensional display. Leveraging Jacob & Co.’s expertise in vertical tourbillon movements, the Astronomia Régulateur inherits the legacy of past innovations while accelerating the rotation speed for enhanced performance.

The Astronomia Régulateur features a flying tourbillon and separate sub-dials for hours and minutes, spinning in unison to maintain readability. A unique seconds display, characterized by a counter-clockwise rotation within 60 seconds, adds a touch of distinction. To manage the high-speed rotation, Jacob & Co. incorporates a patented constant force device, ensuring precision and efficiency. The result is a marvel of watchmaking engineering.
