Description

In 2022, Grand Seiko introduced the Kodo Constant-force Tourbillon, a groundbreaking watch that combines a tourbillon and constant-force mechanism on one axis, a first in watchmaking. It won the Chronometry Prize at the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève. Now, a limited edition inspired by daybreak continues the Kodo story with a design reflecting the morning light.

The movement showcases hand-polished silver components and blue sapphire jewels, symbolizing dawn. Open-work design highlights Japanese aesthetic values, while platinum and titanium create a durable yet elegant case. The innovative Caliber 9ST1 powers the watch, combining constant-force and tourbillon seamlessly for enhanced accuracy. The movement features over 340 components, with a unique integration of the two mechanisms producing a mesmerizing visual and audible rhythm akin to a reassuring heartbeat.
