Frederique Constant celebrates its 35th year in the new first-ever Citizen Watch America Group’s multi-brand store on New York’s Fifth Avenue and with a special edition timepiece to match.

During the celebrations, Frederique Constant introduced a limited-edition Highlife Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar Manufacture, encased in a 41mm steel case, a size chosen to meet the exacting standards of watch purists. This edition is truly exclusive, with just 88 pieces featuring a classic blue dial. True to the Highlife series, it offers versatility with three interchangeable straps: nubuck calfskin, steel, and rubber, allowing for a quick transformation from a traditional to a more casual style.

The dial’s design is a testament to thoughtful craftsmanship, with clear indicators for the month, date, and day located at 12, 3, and 9 o’clock, including a dual-hand at 12 o’clock that also tracks leap years. The tourbillon, a centerpiece at 6 o’clock, is framed by a steel silhouette that is quintessential to the brand, revealing the intricate escapement—a mechanism with a heritage dating back to 1801. Embodying the essence of the Highlife collection, the dial features an engraved globe, with hour markers floating above, and hands that match the case’s color, all treated with a luminous coating for visibility in low light.

The Highlife Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar Manufacture features a sapphire case back, showcasing the FC-975 Manufacture calibre’s intricate details, boasting a 38-hour power reserve and 10 ATM water resistance.
