Filmmaker Matthew Vaughn and watchmaker Bremont have teamed up to release a limited edition watch collection, celebrating Vaughn’s new spy thriller, “Argylle,” produced by Apple Original Films and MARV, and set to premiere in theatres on February 2 in partnership with Universal Pictures. The film stars Bryce Dallas Howard as Elly Conway, a reclusive author whose espionage novels start mirroring real spy events, leading her and spy Aidan, played by Sam Rockwell, on a global chase. The ensemble cast includes Henry Cavill, Dua Lipa, John Cena, Ariana DeBose, Bryan Cranston, Catherine O’Hara, Sofia Boutella, and Samuel L. Jackson.

The Bremont x Argylle Limited Edition Watch Collection features three timepieces, each reflecting the film’s main characters – Argylle, Aidan, and Elly. These watches are noted for their detailed craftsmanship and decorated dial designs, showcasing the Argylle diamond pattern, symbolizing the blend of cinema and precision timekeeping, appealing to both enthusiasts and collectors.

The Argylle Jet is a robust 43mm timepiece modeled on the Bremont U-2, a design born from the military, following the success of the Bremont military air crew watch created in collaboration with Martin-Baker (MB). This U-2 chronometer incorporates advanced features from the MB, including an anti-shock rubberized movement mount, built to endure the MB ejection programme, and adds further functionality. The high-performance Argylle Jet is crafted in DLC-treated stainless steel with a Trip-Tick case construction and a jet-black barrel, mirroring the stealthy attributes of its character inspirations. It features a 38-hour power reserve and a date display at 3 o’clock. The black Argylle patterned dial is accentuated with blue hour, minute, and seconds hands, filled with vintage super-luminova, consistent with Bremont’s signature stealth designs. Additionally, the second hand is tipped in vibrant yellow, echoing the color palette of the film.
