Description

Angelus pushes the boundaries of contemporary watchmaking with the Flying Tourbillon Titanium, Blue Edition, a striking fusion of openworked precision and bold design. This new edition is encased in a lightweight carbon composite container and reinforced by a sculpted titanium middle with a notched bezel. At its heart, the hand-wound A-310 calibre powers a mesmerizing flying tourbillon at 6 o’clock, while large Arabic numerals appear to float between the sapphire crystal and PVD-treated bridges, enhancing the watch’s sense of depth and dynamism.

Every element of this 42.5mm timepiece is designed for visual impact. The blue PVD-treated bridges, flange, and minute track contrast sharply against the luminous white Super-LumiNova numerals, while the rhodium-plated movement components add a refined mechanical sheen. Angelus’ signature openworked three-armed wheels guide the eye toward the asymmetric, 160-degree-angled tourbillon bridge, creating a rhythmic interplay of form and function.

The case construction is both technical and architectural. A dual-layered design ensures strength and lightness, with an internal carbon composite shell protecting the movement and six external titanium components providing structural reinforcement. The openworked case middle widens toward the Angelus-branded crown, while a 12-notched bezel frames the sapphire crystal. An interchangeable bracelet system allows for versatility, offering a choice between a titanium bracelet, a matte blue alligator leather strap, and a sporty blue rubber strap.

Powering the watch is the A-310 calibre, an evolution of Angelus’ historic A-300 movement. Built around a series of interwoven circles, its openworked design features a small seconds subdial at 9 o’clock, counterbalancing the large barrel at 12-1 o’clock and the flying tourbillon at 6 o’clock, with a robust 60-hour power reserve.
